If Texas were an independent country, it would rank 7th in gross domestic product globally.  Despite its economic prowess, Texas had the most weather related power outages than any other state from 2000 to 2023.  In February of 2021, the Great Freeze impacted over 10 million Texans. In addition to continuing to repair the massive damage caused to the utility infrastructure, the power grid is overloaded and will continue to be under a severe strain based on growth, development and the increased expansion of new AI Data Centers in our state. How to help homeowners "keep the lights on" today and into the future will be addressed.
